Our team was asked to build a craft room with laundry space on the second floor of a historic home in the avenues of Salt Lake City Utah. Bringing the exterior style of an addition into the existing style of a home built in 1872 can be challenging. We decided to maintain the aesthetic differences between the old home and the new add-on to make it easy to differential between the builds. We kept the siding, trim and roof lines relatively similar to ensure the building maintained a uniform look.
